Hi,
I'm George.

Who am I?

I'm a 23 year old Graphic Designer studying at Plymouth College of Art. Born & Bred in Somerset.

Branding and typography based projects are what I enjoy getting stuck into most. I have a broad style within what I create, from clean-cut brands like Homebound to and edgy and collage style that I showed off with the Secret 7" competition.
I'm a cider enthusiast and very interested in the making process to the industry and community that surrounds it, find me on Instagram: @CiderGeorge_

Fox Cider

Branding

This is a branding project to create a cider brand from the ground up. Me being very interested in cider, i did just that. I made the logo have a traditional feel, but still be quite modern with the brush strokes. I made P.O.S, t-shirts, labels, and even the actual cider to go in the bottles. A few local bars and pubs, and even Tesco were interested but because of Uni, I'll have to pursue that another time. There has been another updated version of this logo since as more people wanted t-shirts. I made the type myself as this would add a more personal touch to the brand and will be a good start if i want to take this brand further in the future.

Homebound.

Branding

A social problem of expensive student travel is something that needs fixing. In a group of 4, we found that travel for students is very expensive and it stops them getting home and missing certain things that they really shouldn't. We've linked it to Mental Health and how the stress of missing something back home, or not having enough money isn't great for students. With as much stress as they're put under from deadlines and other uni problems, this is something I did the branding and website for this and feedback was very good from students and we're looking to take it further. Secret 7"

Album Cover

Secret 7" is a competition that is for designers to make vinyl sleeves for some pre determined songs. Once created, the album covers were put on display in London for a few weeks then sold at the end. All of the £50 from each of the vinyls were donated to Mind, a mental health charity. I also submitted quite a few versions and options that they could chose from. But my 1/100 limited edition vinyl cover is out there somewhere, someone bought without knowing that I designed it, and that's kinda cool. Link to the website below.
